Why cant English people pronounce Welsh names/place names properly?

Pure ignorance!

Fe godwn ni eto Lloegr!Dydy ni ddim yn eich cadwynau ddim rhagor,fe godwn ni eto!

Cymru am byth!

Why cant English people pronounce Welsh names/place names properly?
Wow

I know the English, Irish, Scottish, but what is a Welsh?

Is it some kind of lower UK caste?

What have they done?

What accomplishments have they achieved?

Maybe the English can't pronounce Welsh places because they haven't heard of any.

I've heard of England, Scotland, Ireland.

Where the hell is Welshland?

Doesn't that skinny prince guy with the big nose come from there? The prince of Welshland?

Did he become a prince when he married Princess Diana?
Reply:Oh Amberly....you are sooooooo ornery today....ROTFLMAO!
Reply:It's not pure ignorance. The mouth, tongue and palette get used to the configurations of language as we grow - this is why it is hard for Japanese people to pronounce some English words correctly because the mouth just doesn't want to bend to that shape. That's why it's best to learn out of that before the age of 7 and the pattern is fixed. This principle applies to a lot of languages, or parts of them.

But you are just being rude anyway and don't want a sensible answer do you?
Reply:who cares! we are english, why would we want to speak welsh ffs
Reply:They would probably say the same about you, think about it ....
Reply:They have not been taught how in school like Welsh paople are...how are they going to know how to say two Ls together etc?
Reply:Same happens with scottish names and places and an attempt at the accent is usually feeble
Reply:Because you use a different phonetic system, as well you know.

I suspect your attempts at pronouncing East Anglian place names would be just as laughable.
