It's a male pembroke welsh corgi dog, would you name it Nikita, Kenji, or Kite?

Hello -

Of your choices, I'd go with Kenji. Nikita sounds a bit too feminine. Not so sure about Kite.

I just bought a female Welsh Corgi Pembroke for my wife. Little Keeley. My wife chose an Irish name and apparently Keeley stands for something like "energetic", or the equivalent. Sure does apply to her! :)

What you could do, too, is look for any type of characteristic of your new puppy and look for a word in another language that means the same thing. One answerer's suggestion was to look up Welsh names. That's a good idea.

Good luck! Have fun with your puppy!

Kite - it conjures the image of flying free. When you see a corgi running through a field herding stock, you can almost see it as a Kite. And you may notice that a lot of herding dogs have one syllable names like Jack, Zip, Fly, etc.
Reply:Kite is a really a cute name ..give that one to me..
Reply:well i have a pit/boxer mix named Nakita but she's a girl!!!

so i guess i would say kenji, kite,or kyle!!!

have fun naming your puppy!!!
Reply:Definitely NOT ''Nikita'', that's leanin' towards being a female name.

Kenji is rather cute though. ''Kite'' seems a bit plain.

I'd stick with Kenji.

Reply:why dont you name it a welsh name, and respect his heritage.

there are plenty of cute welsh boys names
Reply:Try using the names, each for a day or so, and see if he shows a preference. Just say each name in a fairly loud happy voice several times during the day, and see if he responds more to one than the others.

Just for the record, I'm sure former Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev would not be amused to find out he had a "girl" name.
