I want to know the Welsh for this name??
There is no Welsh variation of Clare. And Ciara is not gaelic for Claire. It's simply the feminine version of Ciarán. Made popular by St. Ciarán. The name Clare/Claire is popular and used as a name in Ireland because of St. Claire. Who was highly respected in Ireland. Ciarán comes from the Irish word Ciar meaning black. While the name Clare comes from the latin word clarus meaning clear, bright.
Reply:Clare isn't a Welsh name, so there really isn't a "Welsh version."
