Name a good Welsh or Irish singer?

I'm Welsh and used to belong to a Welsh Male Voice Choir, I appreciate all good singers.





My favourite Irish singer among the tenors is Joseph Locke, and among the younger ones, Daniel O'Donnel.





My favourite Welsh singer is Katherine Jenkins, I met her once, she really is a beautiful person inside and out.





I also liked Charlotte Church when she was much younger.





I tried adding a youtube to each of these four singers, but had the 'Error' notice and they wouldn't submit. This has happened on several occasions and I have reported it.





A couple of weeks ago, I succeeded in adding such a youtube the next day by editing my answer, so I will try it later.

Reply:Thanks to my American cousin, Tom is also one of my favourites and comes from Pontypridd, about 30 miles from my home town. Arnold George Dorsey, as he first was, was born in Madras, India, a little further down the road, but thanks anyway. Report Abuse

Tom Jones is the best Welsh pop artist ever.





I don't know many Irish singers although my ex used to like this one called Cara Dillon who was quite good, she had a really sweet voice. Enya is good too.
