Does the Dragon which appears on the Welsh Flag have a Name?

It doesn't have a name that I know of other than Y Ddraig Goch, which simply means "the red dragon". There are lots of stories about it though. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y_Ddraig_Go... for a selection.

I was quite appalled at the number of people who thought it would be clever to post silly or insulting answers to this question. You must be such sad little people. Or is it a case of flag-envy?
