How do you pronounce the welsh town name: llanelli?

Hold your tongue up against the roof of your mouth like you're making a regular "l" sound like in "live" but push the tip of your tongue all the way against the roof of your mouth.

Blow the air out the two sides of your tongue. It's a rough, almost spitty sound. It's sometimes approximated as "hl", but it's neither "h" nor "l"--it's an "l" with the tip of your tongue touching the roof of your mouth.

The vowels would be pretty standard, "ll"-ah-n-eh-"ll"-ee.

Mae Esweetpee wedi ei ddweud yn berffaith

She has said it perfectly Esweetpee.
Reply:At first it sounds like Thla ne thli, but it's not quite a th sound. Try Hla ne hli.
Reply:I agree with ESweetPea from a linguistical standpoint. The 'll' is just like an 'l' but you blow air out the sides of your mouth. Basically, it will sound like you have a lisp when you pronounce it ^_^
