Scottish. That's my Scottish Grandpa's name.
Reply:scottish
Reply:The spelling EUAN is EXCLUSIVE, however EWAN is GAELIC..
Reply:I live in Scotland and work in a Primary school - it's a very popular name up here but more commonly spellt Ewan, only a few spellt Euan.
Reply:According to one website: thinkbabynames.com, it's Irish, but others say it's Scottish Gaelic, possibly meaning Born of the Yew tree, a variant of Ewan.

The Welsh equivalent is Iwan.
Reply:Hi, It's Scottish, it can be spelt three ways:

Ewan, Ewen, Euan.

It's from the Anglicizations of Eoghan,
Reply:This may be a Scottish name - but this particular spelling seems to be Irish.
Reply:Scottish
Reply:I found this on BABY NAMES WORLD....hope it of some help

Although the spekking is usually Ewan or Ewen.
Reply:I think it's gay.
Reply:Sounds, - and LOOKS, - like it is of SCOTTISH origin! It's all to do, with PRONUNCIATION! Tony Blair's eldest SON, is called "EUAN", - and, remember, Tony Blair was BORN in SCOTLAND!
Reply:I rather think it is Welsh, but I am not sure.
Reply:It isn't Scottish. I know because I am Scottish, come from an entirerly Scottish family, and have some extensive knowledge on Scottish history. Perhaps you should do a name search on any one of the numerous name sites on the web.
Reply:"Euan" sounds as if it is Welsh. "Ian" could be Scots, though I don't know if both words mean the same thing.
Reply:I think it may be Welsh. Think the Scottish spelling is 'Ewan'.
Reply:i thought it was irish! but il say scottish
Reply:Scottish. I think the Welsh way is spelled Ewan.
Reply:Depends, where did you find him?
Reply:Not sure but we have lots of them in Wales.
Reply:I dunno. Where are you from?
Reply:The boy's name Euan is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and its meaning is "little swift one."
Reply:I think it depends on the spelling. Euan is welsh and Ewan is Scottish (i think!) I have the same thing with my sons name Finn one way is Scottish and another is Irish and there are Finns in both Irish and Scottish folklore.
