What is the literal translation of Anglesey's Welsh name - Ynys Mon?

Ynys Mon come from the Princes Monna who was an irish princess who married a welsh prince (Welsh mythology - Tywysoges Mona) Therefore it was called after her as Ynys Mona but as times go on and names change and develop it became Ynys M么n.

Mon mam Cymru is used as a tourist slogan to publicize Anglesey and means Mon the mother of Wales. This is similar to the so called Italian boot, and names like that.

What is the literal translation of Anglesey's Welsh name - Ynys Mon?
Ynys M么n is Welsh for the "island of M么n" (named after princess Mona). It is reckoned that Anglesey is the mother of Wales...hence the description, "M么n, Mam Cymru."
